Welcome team
Right from the very beginning of Ashwood Church, offering a warm welcome to people has been of great importance to us. Since we have been meeting in the Ashwood Centre a team of welcomers has been working hard to greet regulars and visitors to our morning service.
The team at present consists of 16 people ranging in age from 11 to 70. Having arrived, tea and coffee is served, which gives everyone time to catch up and often for visitors includes a tour around the centre and information about what else goes on during the week both in Ashwood Church and in the centre.
From time to time we have a “Welcome to Ashwood” meeting, often after the Sunday morning meeting, where we share a simple meal together giving time to chat, ask questions and find out more about each other. This is followed by a simple presentation about Ashwood; looking at how we started, what values we hold, how to get more involved if you want to and we answer any questions raised.
