Expressions
Ashwood Church was described during 2005 as radically relational, unashamedly charismatic and passionately mission focused. In order that these statements remained true, there was a requirement for change. As a Church we recognised the need to develop as disciples and to find ways of creating spaces where our friends could come under the Jesus influence. We began to see the way to achieve the changes, was to develop what is now called “Expressions of Ashwood Church”.
Ravenshead Afternoon Tea
A time for the older members of the community to meet up once a month on a Sunday from 4.00pm at Ravenshead Village Hall.
Cafe MOSAIC
Cafe Mosaic is a Sunday evening event which takes place around 4 times per year. It is a time to enjoy fantastic coffees and cakes/muffins, spend time with friends and also give an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in an atmosphere of music and relaxation.
Hope
Hope is our newest Expression in Ashwood Church. Launched in Autumn 2008, it is a monthly Saturday night event taking place in the Ashwood Centre at 8.00pm. Primarily an evening of worship, prayer and building relationships and includes talks from a variety of people from within Ashwood, followed by a light supper. It aims to include people who cannot easily make our Sunday morning gathering for different reasons, giving another opportunity to be Church together, although everyone is welcome at Hope.
